The Cremation Process

The Cremation Process

Will my loved one be cremated alone?

Absolutely. Not only is this unethical, but immoral and illegal as well. We take great care with our procedures to ensure that your loved one is always able to be identified during any step of the cremation process. Our crematory technicians will re-check the state permit, county permit, family authorization, and special instructions, right before cremation begins to ensure all the information is correct and we are cleared to proceed with the cremation process.

How do I know that the cremains I’m receiving are my loved one?

Each individual brought into our care is logged in, given an ID band, and assigned a number and a stainless steel disc with that number imprinted on it. This disk will remain with your loved one through the entire cremation process. The tag will be affixed to the cremains when returned to the family.

How long before the cremation process takes place?

It is mandatory that at least 24 hours pass before cremation takes place. In most cases, it takes 3-5 business days to secure the proper permits from the state and county, as well as the authorization from the family. After securing the permits and authorization cremation can take place. We have a climate controlled area where your loved one will stay until the cremation.

How long does cremation take?

The answer varies but usually 2-2.5 hours for an average person.

Do you outsource your cremations?

No. We proudly own and operate our own crematory. Once your loved one is in our care, they will stay in our care during the entire process.

Can I see the crematory?

Yes. Another benefit of owning and operating our own crematory is the ability to be transparent with those we serve.
